SATURDAY WHAT'S UP?
OK Got some hot coffee in my cup much better...lol
Well my arm is still hurting and hard to sleep with it like it is. But I am getting along. Going to call my dr first thing Monday morning and see if he can change my pain med to something else. That tramadol sure doesn't work at all!!!
If you want to know how the BBQ went yesterday...read my post on yesterdays thread please. Hurts my arm to repost about it again.
Rick and I are going to the fair today. Last day today and it will be nice and comfortable weather to go see what they have there also. last year it was so darn hot we didn't go.
Next weekend Rick's mom and aunt Peggy will be here for the weekend...yippeeee!!!!!! Guess I am excited can't you tell??
Last night some guy beat the hell out of his girlfriend or wife not far from our place and cops were looking for him...not sure if they found him yet or not. Rick said he thought he heard something over by the barn next door to our complex and told the cops that. Man they went over there with search lights and everything but came up with nothing!!! Guess he didn't hide out there...maybe just passed through there and moved across the street to another complex...cops said he was high on drugs also. Wonderful!!!!! Since we got the police scanner we hear all kinds of stuff going on here...what we thought was a nice area isn't as nice as we thought!!! LOTS of drugs for sure!!!!!!!!! And I wish they would get my one tenant that I keep telling them about!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRR I know darn well he had another drop off couple nights ago!!!! Since that night there has been a lot of traffic!!! HELLO!!!!!!! I am not stupid!!!!!!!! Police say "we are working on it hang in there" well how long do we "hang in there"????? Its been almost 1&1/2 years now that they have been told what he is doing!!!!!!!
OK arm is hurting so better stop typing. I AM reading all the posts everyday and I feel bad for those having troubles...happy for those having fun!!!!
Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!

Hi Judy,
I was just finishing a post when it disappeared. I am making a Hawaiian Chicken recipe for a luau and Colleen's in-laws' this afternoon. First I have to get in the shower. I'm modifying a recipe Connie posted on Facebook.
Must scoot.
Hugs, Love and Prayers,

Good morning Judy and Trish and all my OFF sistas!
Judy, have a great time at the fair with Rick! You deserve a break, kiddo! Hope your arm feels somewhat better today. BTW, Tramadol does nothing for me either.
Trish, I saw that recipe that Connie posted, too. Let us know how it turns out, okay?
I have worked my tail off so far this morning. I mowed the freakin' yard! I HATE to mow using the push mower. I can't get the damn thing started to begin with. And I absolutely HATE mowing the hillside. But it needed doing and I got it done while Chris is here to watch Benny this morning. I am dripping sweat and headed for a shower. I may just put on lounging pajamas for the rest of the day.
Talked to Butch for a few minutes this morning. Geez, I miss that man. Less than two weeks left to go.
Chris is an absolute grouchy bear this morning. Snapping and snarling at both Benny and me. I know she is tired. She's worked 6 days straight without a day off and prolly has to work tomorrow, too. (Hobby Lobby is moving to a new location in 2 weeks.) I try to tell her to look at all the overtime as a gift, because now that she's full time, she gets time and a half pay, but she's having a hard time seeing the silver lining. I'm trying to be supportive and not take offense when she snaps.
Well, I'd better hop in the shower. Connie, how you feeling today? Debbie A., how are YOU feeling, too. Cindi B., I still can't see the kayak pictures. What are your settings on FB for viewing photos? Cindy, I hope your hubby's headaches are easing up. Eileen, hope you aren't having headaches today either. Jennifer, how goes the neighbor from hell remodel. Jo, hope you are enjoying your weekend. Now, who did I forget? Someone, I'm sure.
Love you all!
Morning all!
Steve was away on business last week, he's home for the weekend then off for another week of business. Been doing to much lately, and my back is hurting like a bi@$h this morning. I have traded eating food for spending money on quilt stuff, shoes, clothes, etc. Which is just as bad if not worse, cause I'm putting myself into a money pit. I don't know what's wrong with me...but just like with eating I can't seem to stop!!
The weather here has been amazing. It's usually in the triple digits this time of the year, but for the last couple of weeks it's been between 80 and 90 degrees.
Judy, hopefully you can get the pain in your arm under control soon. Some people swear by Tramadol but me no...it didn't do a thing!
Vickie, have a restful day. I hope the days go by quickly for you till Butch comes home.
Sorry if I missed anyone! Have a great day, thoughts and prayers for all,
Debbie
Hi, Everyone!
Well, we didn't win the big Powerball jackpot this past week. Bummer. Just sign me "Forever Hopeful". Ha. Ha.
Judy, I hope the dr. can give you a pain med that is effective for your shoulder. Kuddos to you for doing the exercises he gave you even though it hurts so much.
Vickie, my hubby has gotten some relief from the TENS unit we got. It helps whenever the headache originates from his neck. He also gets lots of sinus headaches. We live on the coast (which is probably not the best place to be for him) and with all the storms we get coming in off the ocean, well, he suffers a lot. He sees his regular neurologist in a couple of weeks and plans to ask him if he's heard of the Omega procedure that Cindi pointed me to on one of the big TV network's news coverage links on their website. It is worth checking into. He has seen some relief from the Botox in that he feels his headaches are not of the same intensity that they were before having this last set of injections. We'll take whatever help we can get!
Got up early and grocery shopped. Came home and put everything away and here I am on the computer. (smile)
Our dog is nosing my elbow to get me off the computer. He's so darn funny. If I ignore him long enough, he will finally settle down and lay by my feet.
Thinking of Eileen, Connie and others and hoping that their pain and suffering eases and that things get better for them soon.
Hugs and prayers for all.
Cindy P.
Hi Judy and my OFF family:
Sorry I haven't posted lately ... have been sleeping late or been busy and haven't had a chance to get on. But I've been reading.
Yes, I have a headache this morning. We're supposed to have rain. Back and knees hurt, too.
Went to my back doc yesterday for my followup and my back is hurting. So he is doing a new MRI on me. That's next week. Don't know why it is hurting so soon. He's baffled too (let me tell you, it's always nice seeing Dr. Whitacre ... he's a cutie).
My friend Rox's hubby had hip replacement a couple of weeks ago and he was back in the hospital for a wound infection. Poor Brian! He's kind of a hypochondriac anyway, so I'm sure he's looking online for all that could go wrong. I was fortunate not to have infections, but I haven't had luck with my knee replacements.
Last night was rough at work; I hadn't slept well the night before and I was dragging. Plus I had a lot to do to get ready for the weekend. So I was beat by the time I got home. Then I putzed around the house for a long time before I went to bed. I slept til 12:10 p.m. though ... so I slept nearly 10 hours. Guess I needed it.
Well, I need to finish my second cup of coffee and get in the shower and get ready for work. Have a good day.
